My Belgian Golden Strong won a Gold medal at the Hurricane Blowoff, this is my first Gold so I'm excited about this one.

Way to go me.

Dan

Just got the results, my Kolsch won Gold in Cat 6. Damn, I was gonna send that to NHC too (paid to enter it, but couldn't get it there in time).

Cheers!

BOS?

That one has eluded me so far too. It's pretty much a crap shoot in most comps because it's purely judges choice of what they liked best. If your style isn't one they enjoy then you aren't gonna win. Also, most of the beers I enter are classic styles that are very drinkable like Kolsch, Duss Alt, Dry Stout, Hefeweizen. So they aren't real showy, just made well and nice to drink.

I have a few things up my sleeve though. We'll see how it goes.

I'm not to worried about BOS,  What I want is for a brewery to want to make one of my beers, then when I make it big I can forget all you little people.

I only put BOS because it seemed like the next logical step after a gold .. but I have no idea, I do not compete.

Usually when the comp involves wanting to brew a beer it is the BOS.
