If you're a really old timer, you might remember that in the days of emerald I posted a recipe for "Das IPA," an IPA-inspired German-style beer. Well, out shopping in Hamburg today I found this:

It's a good thing, too, since I'm burned out on Pilsner and can't find an Alt to save my life.

I did this one awhile back. It was resiny and strangely enough had a smoky character from the hops. I have never kicked a keg so fast. Delicious. https://www.brews-br...showtopic=81685

Wasn't your Das IPA mostly Munich and no or very little 2-row?

It certainly had Munich; how much if any 2 row it had I don't remember. I probably still have the recipe sheets somewhere, but I won't have access until July.

The "IPA" I recently made as a kitchen sink batch had a bunch of Vienna and used all noble hops but in IPA levels. Decent.

I totally forgot about that, but I am pretty sure I brewed your recipe back in the day!
