So when I brewed yesterday not only was it the first run of my electric BIAB setup, it was also the first time I've tried adjusting the PH of my water along with additions.

Yea I know, you should never try so many new things at once,  kinda makes it hard to figure out WTF if something goes wrong.  Did I say I like doing things the hard way.

Well everything worked out great,  Mash ph read 5.5,  I hit all my numbers spot on which shocked me for my first BIAB, I wonder if finally messing with PH had a hand in this.  The 110V element is not the fastest thing in the world but it gets the job done.  The panel box worked perfectly and I cant wait to make it 240V (I built it knowing this would happen soon).  Overall I am extremely happy with how the system and process worked out.

I also did my first step mash yesterday,  using the electric rig made this so easy to do.  Now I dont know if it will make any difference but time will tell.  Doing so many new things at once yesterday if something does go wrong its going to be hard to figure out what it was but so far so good.

IIRC Dan you have really high bicarbonate water,no? If so my guess is that you are going to see a stunning difference in the quality of your pale beers. Looks like a great little system you put together there.
