The paint strainers work pretty good. They will let a bit more trub through than you are used to, at least that was my experience. Another way to reduce trub is to not stir the mash before you hoist out the bag. Be gentle with the bag as you lift to let the wort filter through the bag and the grains. I am not of the belief that trub in the fermentor is going to ruin your beer but it will cut down on your end yield of beer.
