I just started up my club's library. Any member in good standing will get to check out a book for the month. The club ponied up some cash so here's my first set of purchases.

What?!?!  No Famhouse ales?

I think you should add the classic Lambic book to the library too :)

Good looking group of books though.  Lots of good information in those.

I should have gotten Farmhouse :goodidea: and Wild Brews. I spent just over half of our budget so there's still $$$ remaining.

I'd get Lambic for my collection first.  It's come down quite a bit. I'd used to only see it for over $100. Amazon has it for $45.

There was a request for the 2 volume DeClerk from the 50's. It's $200 on amazon but Siebel has it for $75 so that may be on its way also.

I have the Lambic book as a PDF somewhere.  It is nice for a collectors item but nothing earth shattering in there.

Wild brews is another great suggestion.

It would be nice on the shelf with the other classic style series books. I just found that pdf. There's a link in a hbt thread

I have all those books and more. Only read about 1/3 of them. I need to get in the habit of reading every night instead of watching TV. Where's Denny's book!?!? Experimental Brewing, Radical Brewing, Altbier, Pale Ale ...

I think this lot is a good foundation for beer and brewing. If members request specific titles, I'll get them in.

This one has some interesting information in it.  It was suggested on here by Denny and I picked it up.

Our club has a huge library but I think getting some new books might be a good idea.  Ill bring it up at the next meeting.

Dan, weren't you the librarian at one time until they fired you for the stuck pages?

I told you to never bring that up.

Similar here, librarian is a non-voting/appointed board member. I'm having members email me in advance. Then they can pick up their book at the general meeting, board meeting or at the bar I bartend at on Tuesday nights.
