I've been wanting to brew this beer for a while, finally got to it.

OG 1.053

IBU 25-30

11# Czech Pils Malt

153 F mash

90 min boil

1 oz 7.3% Hallertau Blanc @ 45

1 oz 7.3% Hallertau Blanc @ 15

2 oz 7.3% Hallertau Blanc @ 0 (180F Whirlpool for 15)

Pitched 2308 at 48, ferment at 50

I may dry hop it, depends on the aroma.

Tell me about Hallertau Blanc. Or, is this your first run with it?

I guess its more of an Americanized Pilsner. I wanted an American Helles but the hopping is too aggressive for that. American Pale Lager probably fits.

I'll be curious to hear how "American" the hops come across. They sound tasty.

Bump-diggidy. How did this come out CWG? What did you get from the Hallertau Blanc?
