This round - 15% flaked oats, 85% 6-row (usually 2-row with a little special roast).  1.050, 1272, Citra and Centennial FWH to 38 IBUs.  Summer sipper.

Sneaking in a brew day tomorrow.

Cream ale: Weyermann Pils + flaked corn to an OG of ~1.056, Hallertau (bittering only) to ~16 IBUs, and an SRM of ~4.

US-05 will handle the heavy lifting in the primary.  Pale, fizzy, and yellow is the name of the game with this batch.

Super simple, and should be ready in time for when the heat of summer really sets in late next month here in Cincy.

Dussy Alt, Dupont Citra Saison.

What did you decide on for the Saison?  I think I am doing mine this week so I can have it ready for the 4th of July.  Not sure if I will split it or just go with the Omega yeast.  I am also up in the air at the moment on the rye.  Debating between that and just some Vienna.

I'm omitting the Rye. The rest of the grist will be normal for the style. I'm also favoring a small Magnum addition at 60 then hop bursting Citra for balance. I might blend with Amarillo just for some more hop depth. Citra is fairly one dimensional on its own to me.

You will like the Motueka. Report back on the Belle. I've never used it before.

The Belle is a great yeast IMHO. It is not as spicy/funky as DuPont and rather clean(er). It's now a dry yeast to have on hand much like 05.I'm using Belle for half b/c I know exactly what I'm gonna get and have ambition to add hibiscus to that 1/2 for a colorful tart Saison.https://im1.shutterf.../rx=550/ry=400/The Yeast Bay Saison Blend will be my straight up batch with no altercations since I've never used it and want to see what it brings.https://www.theyeast.../saison-blend-i

That is a shot of 1/2 ounce flowers steeped in 8 ounces of water. Trying to guesstimate how much to 5 gallons to gain a rose color. don't want it that red. Or maybe I do?

I see .. well either way I really like the color.  Not sure what hibiscus would add to the beer and not sure I even like it but would try it.

Here's another thread. Upon tasting the tea last night, I find it to be very mild and tart. I think the tart flavor would play well with a saison yeast. My batch is going to come in at a very low 5 srm almost yellow. The brilliant color from the hibiscus just might compliment nicely.https://www.brews-br...-with-hibiscus/

Rookie move. Everyone knows that if you want to pique interest you have to call it a secret ingredient! And then never reveal!
