That's the pilot system. Alt is in the fermenter. Watching hockey. Still gotta clean up.

Malt bags are easy to open, but I grew up on a farm and know how to open grain sacks.

every now and then I'll get one that doesn't open right

I grew up in the burbs. I don't open enough of them (yet) to know the trick. I found that video though and should be able to remember now.

Some grain bags actually say "pull red tape to open" or something like that. You pull it, it opens. Others say nothing and I just end up cutting them open.

This was a couple bags of weyermann pils. Two brew days in a row. Getting ready for the keys and also entering these into the upcoming german beer comps in Austin (O'Zapft Is!) and I think there's one in Minnesota or Wisconsin that's a little bigger (German Fest Stein Challenge in wisconsin).

I stumbled across this on the Weyermann site a while back: https://www.weyerman...ish_02_2014.pdf

When I brewed my Alt at the local pub I had a hard time keeping up with the mill. It holds two sacks. So you had to stay on your toes and keep the mill full of grain because the rakes and dough in water was working in the MT. After hefting over 20 sacks into the mill I learned quickly to get those open.
