Too many for-profit fests popping up lately.

I'm not sure if they are or not. They're brewing the winner but not running the comp. I think it's Chicago Scene Magazine that puts on for-profit festivals and races.

Well, I hope they just were duped into this.  For profit fests are fine with me.  When home brew enters the scene and you brewed the beer and then pay to have people drink it???????? - hell no.

Missouri is just starting to let home brewers give away their beer at fests.  That's really a great way to promote the hobby.  Can't do it on the KS side yet.

Which comp is that? Right now I have the labor day weekend fest on my radar this year.

We recently did War of the Worts with Coppertail and they will brew the winning beer on the 1bbl pilot. If that does well then they will brew it on the 50bbl with the brewer.

I can call a buddy and brew on a 10 bbl system whenever I want, and I don't have to fork over 32 bucks to do so. So, no thanks on that comp.

The link I posted doesn't work anymore. I'm not sure if the entry window closed or they canceled the comp. I doubt they had many if any entries at that price.
