While he is just a blowhole, someone with more true political background who shares those type of radical ideas might not be the worst thing for this country.

You know, someone who is a real Maverick

:troll:

maybe just someone who is maverick-y instead......

what I see as some of my repub friends are saying is that despite their disagreement with some of his ideas, they are completely enamored with his 'out-spokeness', the no BS attitude, and his 'fukc you too' personna.

gonna be a great primary!!!!

I see that too, they seem to be enamored with his supposed "straight talk"

Just a couple of maverick-y Mavericks doing whatever Mavericks would do

But seriously, someone who could come in and didn't GAF about the Washington political machine and turned the whole city on its head.

That could be great for our country

i'd agree with that sentiment, but until there are term limits in congress it won't matter.......  :P  they'll just stomp him into submission.

That could be great for our country as long as they aligned with my opinions.

FTFY and me.

Dude, he's getting a lot of first and seconds in polls.  Clearly there *are* Republicans who actually love and support him, or at least his views.  Now, his military quotes today will probably ruin him with those who were stoked on his policy stance on illegal immigration, as the staunch anti-immigration share a lot of an overlap in a venn diagram with those who are very pro-military.

Sure he gives a few soundbites that, after filtering out the coocoo, have merit and resonate with people.  However, I dont think many think he is electable or president material.

And polls.......hell, I think they are marginal on election night.  This far out, they are bird cage liner at best.

I fully agree, and I think we have been talking over each other.  He *is* an idiot, he is *not* a viable candidate, and he will *not* survive the debates.  All I was saying is that there are, sadly enough, people who would vote him right now.  I also agree that this is way to early to really give a crap about polls and the like.  I will add, I do NOT think this moron is indicative of modern conservatism, so I'm not taking shots at you or anything.

I am sure McCain wishes McCain wasn't captured as well. Bet some people get captured during wars.

No politician gets away with criticizing servicemen. Specially repubs.

If he wins, he can make a "White House" reality TV show. He can have people compete for cabinet positions, Apprentice-style and we can watch him have meltdowns when he discovers that we have laws that limit the presidents' powers.

Lol. That would be kind of awesome. And the best part is that nothing's gonna really get any more ####ed up than it is already.
