They are working out the details using an esp8266 wifi. BrewPi is getting smaller and cheaper to build.

So this is basically a temp controller?

Yes. From their web site

What is BrewPi?

BrewPi is a fermentation temperature controller for brewing beer or wine. It runs on Raspberry Pi and an Arduino. Compared to other temperature controllers, BrewPi offers much better temperature control and a lot more features like data logging, a web interface and graphs.

The guys over at HBT have added WiFi and a LCD screen.

You don't need HBT for WiFi and a LCD screen. Here's mine right from BrewPi.

Just the entire manufacturing process.  I worked for a company that made some of the first pro digital audio gear.  we designed our own very complicated multi layer PCBs.  Tyey went out to co. to be stuffed and wave soldered.  When they came back, it was my job to find the defects and get them working.

If anybody is interested I have seven boards for sale. $5.00 each.

Here is a link to the Arduino Uno R3 board that this shield sits on. This seller is selling Arduinos with the bootloader installed-some of the boards on ebay are blank.
