I bet this would work great for a keg washer. I can do all the design work and flow charts, picking correct materials, and the details of the manufacturing process, but when it comes down to programming, I'm a neophyte. I took one class in college in visual basic and that was 12 years ago. I really need to be able to do some programming.

Anybody that is going to build a BrewPi beware that the new Chinese Arudino Uno have a different usb controller chip in them and won't be recognized by the software. There is a fix by adding a line of code and loading new usb drivers. All of this is addressed over at BrewPi.com

I might take one. I need to look into it. I don't want to add it to my project list without being sure. The list is already longer than it needs to be.

Let me know when you're ready. I have a BOM from Mouser Electronics for most of the parts. You can build the whole thing in a weekend, even faster if you are familiar with python.I'm trying to work out some problems with the one wire sensors not being detected.I still need to hook up my HC05 Bluetooth and LCD screen.

Well it looks like a bunch of people got bad Ds18b20 probes. One of the guys pulled one of his apart and ran the ic on a sketch and it failed.Might be a bad batch of ic floating around.

They figured out the Ds18b20 probes problem. Wholesale buyers were sold a batch of Ds18b20P chips instead of the correct ones.

Have you used the Dallas probes? Any comments on accuracy?

I use the DS18b20 one wire probes that seems to be the standard in DIY projects. I haven't double checked them with my Thermapen yet but I haven't read about anybody else complaining about the accuracy of them.

From the Data sheet

±
0.5
°
C accuracy from -10°C to +85°C

If you're following the topic over at HBT one of the guys tested the board with a full build and everything works.
