So I finish up the boil on a blonde ale and start chilling. Get it down to 168 for my whirlpool addition, set the timer for 30 mins and walk away. Come back after 30 and start chilling again. It gets down to about 98 and that's when I realize I never added the whirlpool hops. ####. So I just chucked them in with frustration and stopped chilling for a bit. I guess Ill just let it hang out for a bit and continue chilling. We will see what happens.

This is something Ive done several times. First time I did what you did. The beer lacked the resin I love from the whirlpool addition. The next time I heated it back up for the addition then cooled it again. The last one I didnt move from the kettle when I started chilling.

Exactly, i forgot the Whirlfloc until i was almost chilled the last brew session.

Yeah I'm sure it will be a fine beer, i just wish I would have done it the way I wanted. It's in the fermenter now.

Yep, me too. And what's worse is I can even remember what the stupid mistakes I made were.
