I have a beer that i left in the fermenter last February (yes, 2014) in my fermentation chamber.  Honestly, i don't even recall what happened other than I abandoned it and it's been sitting there for almost 18 months.  Any guesses on what it looks like?

(Page 3:  I'm actually going to brew this weekend!)

5 -gal bucket.  airlock?  ummm, don't remember.  Just a plain 'ol 3 piece, I think.

It's in a place that stays cool year round and is completely blocked from light and any real air circulation.  My guess is massively oxidized clear beer.

yeah - that airlock must be dry by now.  I think your guess is likely right.

Cavman did one of these. A bit oxidized, but a great example of autolysis (or what a soy sauce beer might taste like).

If it doesn't smell bad, try it. But take all the usual sanitary precautions because you never know, it might be worth keeping!

I tried it. Just very bland with hints of oxidation. The oxidation wasn't horrible but it certainly didn't taste 'good'.

though off flavors are accurate but that was also a 100+ibu beer and I always wondered how the aged hop oils were a factor.

I've got some kegged beer in my fridge that is well over 2 years old now. I guess I need to drink it and see if it's worth keeping.

If it has been kegged under pressure and kept cool, it should be fairly decent.  I was just having this conversation last night with a brewing buddy.  He had a keg in the fridge since last Saint Patrick's Day with a Stout... he thought it was empty, but low and behold there was at least one good draw left on it.  Said it was really good.

That's assuming they were decent to begin with. I know some of them are duss alts that had the mystery off flavor. No idea why I didn't dump them.
