I wonder ho much interest Duvel Moortgat has in FW? I will say this, the partnership DM and Boulevard has is nothing short of awesome.

In the end I think this can only help FW.

What do you mean that the DM/Boulevard relationship is awesome?  Not arguing, just curious why, what etc..  I love Boulevard beers.

if Duvel treats Boulevard like they do Ommegang then it means they are investing a lot of money and resources into the brewery and allowing them to do business as usual but with a lot more tools at their disposal.

Right now Boulevard is building another cellar which is cellar 5 I do believe. They also have a huge barrel/fouder program my buddy is in charge of making it possible for more MOAR awesome projects. They are also slowly distributing to Europe.  Not that BV couldn't expand on their own without DM but this relationship is making things move faster which will allow John McDonald to slip into retirement knowing his company is in excellent hands.

Thanks Fellas I didn't know this stuff but it is very interesting and educational.  Cheers to Boulevard's Barrel program.  There IMPY Stout and Bourbon Quad are dynamite to me.

Really? Which ones? I've always found them pretty forgettable. I've only had a few of the big bottle beers, though.

Saison Brett and Bourbon Barrel Quad are two I really like.  Rye on Rye is good too.

Some of the smokestack stuff is fairly mainstream but not forgettable. With that said judging by your comment that you have never had much of their beer. They have some incredible beer coming out of that place.

Dustin is my original brew buddy turned pro turned blending specialists turned GABF Gold medalist for his creations.

Ever in town my ongoing invitation to hang with Dustin at Boulevard is always on the table to blewbies.

Convinced a local watering hole to try putting Tank 7 on tap.  They did and it's become a staple.

I had ~4 of Boulevard's beers at a festival a few years ago. Tank 7 was one, there was a quad and two more. None of them really struck a chord with me. Based on that experience i've steered away from any of their stuff in the beer aisle.

I like Tank 7 quite a bit when fresh. It loses some mojo over time for sure though. I had Saison Brett on tap in Chicago a while back and it had this weird fake sweetness going on and a very off-putting brett character I've not tasted anywhere else. Considering Saison Brett's reputation I just assumed there was something wrong with that keg.

I agree, but WTF is up with this Nirvana IPA they just put out. First of all, not Belgian. Second, not even that good of a beer. FW will benefit from their distro network. I never see FW younger than 6 weeks old here unfortunately.
