How much should I be buying? 2oz? 4oz? does it go bad? How much would you typically use for a 10 gallon batch? I realize it varies of course but I just want to buy a reasonable amount.

I dont think I have ever used more than 5ml in a 6 gallon post boil batch and evn that is rare. Convert for your batch size.
woah. so 4oz should last me a LONG time.

Again, same for me. I do have the same pipettes posted for use with my refractomometer though.

I do have a baby medicine dropper but it has kind of odd increments so I'd have to interpolate a little bit.

Stop at the pharmacy and ask for a 5ml one. Most will give it to you for free.
Were making beer here man, you don't want to feck it up with a bad unit conversion!

I have some really old 88% lactic acid i've been meaning to check for pH to make sure it's still effective. I'll let you know what the results are when i get to it. This stuff might be 15 years old. 8 years, minimum.
