So this party was pretty big and everything beer-related went smoothly. The Mexican Amber Lager keg I put out on the patio lasted about 2½ hours. Everyone outside was drinking it except one girl who found Miller Lite in a cooler I labeled "SPORTS DRINKS". I kept reminding people that there was more beer downstairs but everyone seemed content to drink the beer outside. It was very cloudy for the first pint-and-a-half and then it ran clear. Everyone drinking it said it was great. People eventually came downstairs and the Cabana Lager was popular as was the hoppy blonde. A few of use were drinking the Vienna and the Glacier pale ale may have been the least-consumed beer but I know of 2 people who drank that one most of the day. There were some weird bungles though. My flatscreen in the bar had an Comcast error message on it so I couldn't put the baseball game on. I tried a few things and called the evil empire but nothing worked which peeved me. Then... I have three hockey-puck lights over my taps and one went out just as people were arriving. I looked all over for a replacement bulb because it looked like $h!t. After about 30 minutes I found one. Okay, crisis averted. Then my wife comes downstairs to tell me that one of the more... ahem... large guys stepped on the brick steps and the brick came loose. When I went outside she had placed a plastic chair over it. It was as if there were going to be problems no matter what. I quick cleaned that up, put some gorilla glue down and then just put an X with masking tape on the brick. Ugh. I also spent about 90 minutes over the grill in 95° heat and I didn't feel like I had the chance to see everyone for very long. Whew... I'm wiped out. :D

Oh... and the next morning the flatscreen in the bar was working perfectly. WTF. <_<

First world problems!  :)

Sounds like you put on a good party, Ken.  Of course there were no problems with the beer.  We all knew that would work out.

You're right... first world problems for sure. I just felt like I busted my butt for the past week getting things ready and then there were a bunch of "unpredictables". Thankfully all the beer stuff went well. I was waiting for some CO2-related issue to pop up. There were a few 20-somethings here which is always hilarious to watch as they fawn all over the taps, snap pics of themselves tapping, etc. Cheers.
