All is not lost, I measured today and it was 1.014 and tasting pretty darn good.  I roused the yeast tonight in hopes of coaxing a few more points out of it.

Top number is 1.000, first major line above fluid level is 1.005. Crappy IPhone 3!

 

Yes, WLP001 2 vials in a 1-gal starter on a stir plate.

Finished around 1.011.  Gonna hit it with some dry hops tomorrow.  'Some' meaning a metric pantload.

Actually, they both finished around 1.011-1.012, which is odd considering they used the same mash schedule plus the dry stout started 30 points lower and used the historically higher attenuating yeast (WLP001 vs WLP002).
