So who's brewing what?

 

Here… finally got a lagering fridge. Only problem is it's filled with apples off the trees! So I am finally making my Blonde Ale (lager) today only in a swamp cooler. Chilled it to 52F with groundwater and right now its in a cold bath. Going to get a 1 gallon drauflaussen going at ~54F and pitch the rest of it at ~54F once the drauflaussen gets rocking. Going to try to keep this at ~54-55F for 24-48 hrs before I let it go.

85% 2-Row

10% Vienna

5% Carahell

Mash @150F

 

28g Santiam @60

15g Motueka @15

15g Motueka @5

 

WY2124

 

Also making preps. for an English Brown. Going to make the CYBI recipe for Black Sheep's Riggwelter. This one has been on my radar a long time. It's going to be cooler weather here before long and I though this one would be nice for Sept/October.

I made a 10 gallon split batch.
16.5 lb 2 row
3.5 lb Vienna
1 lb flaked barley
1 lb golden candy syrup.com

German Magnum to bitter
French Strisselspalt to finish

Half with Dennys 1450
Half with Yeast Bay Saison Blend

Chilled with 85 degree groud water haha

Hotter than balls here in sweltering south Florida

Brewed last night.
100% TF Maris Otter
5ml hop extract @ 60
84g Galaxy and 54g Riwaka in the whirlpool
Dry hop will match the whirlpool
Fermenting away with WLP644 @66
OG came out to 1.061

Eta: hoping to do a porter or milk stout Monday or Tuesday.
