50/50 2-row and red wheat. I expected 53 gp in the fermenter. Got 44. Strange. One of the few times I blew off mash temps since it's always what I expected. I haven't used red for a while. Smaller but not much different from rye malt size. I thought the grist looked good. And I know you don't get quite as much from red vs. white but not 1.044 when 1.052 was anticipated. I may goose this with some sugar, or not.

What are you using to chew through the grain? What type of attenuation will that afford you?

1056. Guess I'll end up with a 4.5% beer.

I find Red wheat to be more gummier than the white. Not really noticed much difference with the amounts i am using, i would believe at 50% i should tell the difference- if there is much difference.
Should still be a Tasty Brew.
