I've had a few people ask about my semi-clear buckets thet I bought at TSC and are no longer available. Mine all broke around the top. Finally found something similar and bought a couple today. Pretty sure these are relabeled Brewcraft fermenters.

damn, that's a good deal, those would make great wine primaries for kits or meads.

Looks a lot like this one I have from RiteBrew. Better price tho. Its a nice fermentor especially for $10.00.

I usually buy the 10 gallon food grade garbage cans, but these are sealable, that'd be nice for a mead primary.

I'm not in the market for such a thing but I agree it's a good deal. For $28 I might actually be able to drive around the lake and pick it up myself. :P I did pick up something like a 7-8 gallon wine fermenter once when I needed a plastic primary and my LHBS was out of the standard 6 gallon beer jobbies. It's wider than a standard beer bucket and it doesn't fit in my lager fridge so it's been "sharpied" with "ALES ONLY".

I think the shipping for 2 of them to AR was $22 after I added other stuff as well. Overall cost was cheaper than anywhere else these were available from. I hate, hate, hate my 8gal vittles vault so I was glad to find them.

It's nearly impossible to get the lid sealed airtight, it's so fat that it hits the coldplate and door of my wine fridge/ferm chamber occasionally leading to the back of the beer being frozen, and I can't see thru it like I could with my old 8 gal buckets.

Really liking my new fermenters. They are marked in liters and gallons. The scale stops at 8gal but the bucket is 1+" above the 8 gal mark. Looks to be ~9gals. Lid seals airtight and you can see thru it well enough. That's my Franco-bohemian lager fermenting balls out after pitching at 6PM last night.

It's a nice bucket for the money. Has a built in threaded boss for a spigot you can drill out or leave blocked. The bottling bucket comes with it drilled out and has a spigot for $1 more.

For the price I should order a couple anyways.

The shipping costs a lot b/c these things are really big. See if you can add some other stuff to make it worthwhile or do a local group buy on them.
