I rinse mine right after I'm done with it but it still gets a build up of cooked on wort on it.  It doesn't seem to affect the taste of my beers but it seems like maybe I should occasionally get it cleaned off.  What do you guys do?  Manually scrubbing 50' of tubing doesn't sound like fun.

Star-san soak every now and then. Cleans it right up.

I put it in some yesterday but maybe I didn't make it strong enough (didn't really measure).  in the past that worked.  I guess I should add more starsan concentrate to the bucket...

did you need to wipe it after or did it just rinse everything away?

I hose it off after I use it.  That's all I do.

I am trying to remember as it was a long time ago. I think I failed to rinse it after brewing one time. Pretty sure that the crud just came off it after soaking for a while. It came out really shiny. I know there was no scrubbing involved. Normally I do the same as Denny and it stays nice. But if you like it shiny and clean soak it once and a while and it will look great.

On brewday, it goes into the plastic primary for a hot water & Oxi soak with all the other stuff and then a Starsan soak with all the other stuff. Then it goes into the kettle at flameout, used and when done, I have a bucket of hot water I fill with the runoff from the chill and I throw it in there for a bit. Comes out clean. Eventually... repeat.

I just clean it with the hot water running through it when I am done chilling. Star san before using again.

Should be fine.  I have a copper pickup tube in my kettle and oxygen cleaners just make it nice and shiny.

I see a lot of people rinse right after use, but mine stays very clean because I also dry it good right after the rinse.

An immersion chiller pic I found googling ugliest wort chiller.  There was an awesome one floating around on the greenboard for a while too.  Couldn't find it.

Mine is seldom used anymore and definitely deformed and ugly.  I tried rebending it multiple times for various reasons.  It now has a couple splices in it too but it works like a champ when I choose to use it.  And it is cleaner than that one, has sweated DCs, and also really ugly...........
