I'm going to try to fire up the kettle on Monday.  I've got the fixins for a few different batches; just have to decide what to make.

Anyone else going to get their brew on this long weekend?

Well it is not a long weekend for me. I work tomorrow, have Sunday off and back at it on Monday. But either way I will brew. Got a large starter on the stirplate now for a BDSA that will get brewed on Sunday.

Maybe, I got a lot going on but really want to squeeze in an IPA with Galaxy and Centennial before I leave town next week. Hoping to be able to get it done on Sunday.

I would like to but 1) my daughter surprised us by coming home for the weekend and I would rather not brew while she's here... unless her and my wife go on a marathon shopping session, then all bets are off and 2) it's currently 1° here. High tomorrow of 22° so it's possible. Hoppy Blonde with Ultra hops or American Pub Ale.

the only good thing about cold weather brewing is there is likely snow that I can throw into the tub of water i'm recircing to cool the wort.  snow works FAST!

I'm setting up tomorrow for a double brew day. Dopplebock for a fall event, and a mid level Scottish for March. Also starting a cider "kit" for the ladies for the March event, and a new wine kit for the Mrs as long as I'm getting buckets etc ready.

No time this weekend, but hopefully next week.  I've got some Weyermann Barke pils malt and Imperial lager yeast to test.

I definitely will. I'm using it as 100% of the grist. Drw is gonna use it as part of a maibock.

Fear not, I have BVIP, an 11% raspberry Belgian, a 10% belgian stout, and 2 other Brewers who will have stuff. :frank:

So it's very cold here and I was just not going to brew. Period. But... know what I did? I cleaned out part of the "storage room" which is next to my "beer bunker" and then I cleaned out my beer bunker too. I tossed enough stuff out to entirely fill my WM garbage can on wheels. Old parts, old ingredients, boxes, bags of stuff, bottles and just CRAP that has accumulated over time. It took a few hours but it was quite productive and I was drinking beer the whole time! Oh, and this morning I kegged a pale ale I made with Columbus, Ultra and Crystal hops that looked and smelled delicious. It will start carbing late tonight... as long as my 20# CO2 tank still has the cojones to carb it!
