I use those white barrels with the red lids that I used to ferment in. They'll hold a sack +.

I store is a plastic sterlite container. Years about I had a great idea is using old plastic water cooler bottles but the mice ate right through that.

The sack the grain comes in, stored in a large plastic Rubbermaid storage tub. Have kept open sacks 3+ years that way with no issues.

Vittles Vaults. Look on Amazon.
I have 6 of the ones that hold 50 lbs. Air- and water-tight. Worth the $$$.

Can't go wrong with a V.V.
I've had grain keep for a long time in them... both in arid and humid climates.

only issue is you cannot get a full sack in a homer bucket.

Well.. I've got two of the V.V.'s (or something similar that I picked up at Costco that actually has the lid at an angle so you can stack them and access them)... one for 2 Row and the other for Pilsner malt. There is usually enough room in there for me to store various specialty grains that I have purchased, but not yet used, along with a few other miscellaneous items I need when measuring out the grain.
I have also used Homer buckets as well, but as pointed out you need more of them.

Thats a great idea on the angle neck VV. I've been sticking my grain sacks in giant vacuum bags for years under my staircase. It's a pita to access the grain.Well.. I also want to point out that when I initially got them, we were living in California and the only place I had to store them were in the garage, so I needed to be absolutely certain rodents couldn't get to them.
