Brewing this one tomorrow, 4/13:

76% Pils

15% Munich

8% crystal-60

1% chocolate malt

1 oz Citra, for FWH, to ~36 IBUs

1 oz Columbus, for bittering/90-min boil, to 32 IBUs

1 oz Amarillo, 10 min boil, to 9 IBUs

2 oz Mosaic, for 30-min hopstand, to 23 IBUs

1 oz Centennial, for dry-hop in keg

A fresh slurry of US-05 will handle the heavy lifting in the primary.

Shooting for ~8% abv, ~100 IBUs, and ~14 SRM when this bad boy gets kegged in about 3 weeks.

Will post pics in the pint-picture thread.

Any reason for using 5 different hops?

Not really; this batch will be a bit of a spring cleaning for the hop freezer, as the Amarillo and Citra have been hanging out too long in the hop freezer.

They need to get used while they've still got some game.

Fair enough. I listened to Drew Beechums brewing on the ones today and the recipe reminded me of his call to simplify recipes. Using up hops is a pretty good reason to use multiple types.

Looks quite nice to me. Probably a little more C-60 than I would use but that's picking nits really. Also, were it mine, I would add a bit of that Mosaic in the dry hop too. Really like the finishing combo… Amarillo, Mosaic and Centennial should be beautiful together.

Agree with you here. I have been simplifying my recipes but multiple hops in a beer like this is OK in my book.

Quick bump on this one:

This one smelled absolutely fantastic going into the primary.  I couldn't put a name to all of the scents I could smell, but they were all really nice.

If interested, I will post notes/pics once this one is kegged and tapped.
