I cannot find a brass one.  This valve has it but I cannot find one for sale.  I own this one too, for 20 bucks it is worth buying it instead of making IMO.

is there a way to go direct from that to a gas QD?

It has a 1/4" female flare fitting on one end, which attaches to any threaded ball or pin lock gas fitting.

does this mean that I can screw it onto a gas QD?  I'm not sure I have one that has threads on it.

is this what I need?

insane in the membrane.

I'm actually just interested in reducing O2 exposure post fermentation along with some oldfart style CO2 capturing :P

Agh yes, that was an epic thread.

I threw the spunding valve on my helles before I left for work this morning so I will see how it is going latter on.

I wonder what I'll do about dry hopping if I did this.  naturally carb and then dry hop (probably negating all of my O2 scrubbing efforts) or maybe dry hop while naturally carbing (probably producing some geraniol for my troubles :P).

eta:  so I guess what I'm saying is, this will be for the beers I don't dry hop (typically about half of what I brew).

I would try carbonating and dry hopping all in one then push it over to a serving keg.

I know that might be a good idea but I also know I'm pretty lazy :P

I'm generally consistent.
