Howz this sound for my 1st Pale Ale?

If you want it drier, up the sulfate.  I like the crystal in there for the flavor.

 

I know my tastes, for an APA I like about 4% crystal and 160ppm sulfate and 50ppm chloride.  I have stated before that I find most of the "new School" hops add a sweetness to the beer and I find that and too much crystal do not work for me.

Yes, same conclusion here. I think most of here have. However he suggested he was going to use 50ppm Ca so when I suggested 1:1 I was in essence suggesting absolute numbers.

It's all good, no worries. So 50 ppm Ca, 50 ppm Cl, and a lot of SO4.
