I've only gotten resin from Spalt Select. It has a higher level of one of the oils than other nobles. Can't remember which one though.

I've got the Caraaroma in for the dark(150L) crystal. Do you get the roast flavor coming thru with the RB?

No. 2-4 ounces of roasted barley in  5 gallons of beer will not taste roasty.

(2 if the roasted barley is >400L. 4 if it's more like 300L.)

Yeah, the 300L stuff from Briess gives a nice pleasant dry coffee-like flavor when used at 4-6oz for 6 gallons IME. Its not your classic roasted barley flavor.

What type flavor do you get from them? Description says "minty"

Good info. I may sub 2oz for some of the amber as it gives a toasty dryness to the beer. D/c the MW. Might up my red color. Thanks fellers.

Hard to describe, only used it once, but it had some resemblance to magnum, herbal, I hgad it blended heavily with mandarina bavaria so my experience is limited

Dang, this had me almost wanting to make a Pils with straight Polaris just to really know it's character, alas, choices are a pain sometimes
