Awesome dude, glad to see you. This is not an echo chamber forum. Bunch of great brewers on here, a few pros, 1 hippie.

Oh shit! I'm a pro brewer, pro distiller, AND have been known for somewhat hippieish tendencies!

Welcome!

Sup bros? Looking forward to actually talking about *beer* again - the board Chils got me from really went to pot over the last couple months.  Was OW over there for any other HBC converts

Currently drinking a keg of Festbier that took forever to clear, but looks damn pretty now.  Just blew my schwarzbier - will be high on my re-brew list

I see you're in California, where abouts?  I'm in the North Bay Area and there are several southern CA members here.

... There is also a pretty wide variety of styles brewed by this group. Big, small, hoppy, ales, lagers, sours, barrel beers, traditional German lagers, etc. ...

Ok,

I guess the old BJCP 13G RIS qualified under BIG. Now in 2015 BJCP guidelines style # 347.83 ZZ subparagraph S.

Yea, umm, it seems through brain phart my last 14gal RIS was a 'tad' overhopped.  Had to add two 4 gal batches (brewed inside) to get the batch back to correct IBU levels.  This is a terrible predicament, what am I ever going to do with 22 gal of 10.5 %ABV stout?

:P

Oh yea, welcome aboard y'all.

Nice! Big ups on managing to pull the decent people over :k2:

I've been pretty derelict here, still brewing tho.  Will try and spend some real time on the boards

Aw crap! Does that mean if I'm not decent I have to leave? I'm in Georgia and I swear I wear pants while browsing the forum, and can easily fake "semi-decent."

Sadly, I have no beers, meads, or ciders going at the moment, only a bit of limoncello. I do have a house full of other people's meads, shipped in for our club's annual mead-only competition, "The Domras Cup". After that event I hope to brew a nice dry stout.

Looking forward to time spent on this forum. Many thanks to chils for directing me here!

Cheers!

I am across the Bay in Union City.

Right now my home brewing life is on hold. But if you ever need a brew buddy or help or any expertise let me know.

Hey Everybody-  another former HBC member here. Thanks to Steve Urquell for the invite! I've been brewing for eight years now; enjoy making all styles, classic or modern. ranging from 3.5% Cream ales to 12% barley wines, American Light Lager to Eisbock. Finally started to make sours as of last year.

Good to be back online. look forward talking all things beer with you folks.

Cheers guys. I don't remember the reason for the exit from your other board but you are welcome here. There is a very good, relatively tight group of good brewers in here and generally speaking there is no BS, no "why aren't my bottles carbing", etc. although we occasionally do get some new brewers or guys that just got back into it after 10 years, etc. so it's all over the board. There is a POST A PICTURE OF YOUR PINT thread pinned too so if you have some nice visuals, please post them. Welcome.

Geez Ken, you had to bring that up again. I told you guys a hundred times I was drinking heavy when I bottled them and forgot priming sugar and bottle caps :)

A dirty diaper fell in my fermenter. Is my beer ruined?

The old forum just kinda died a slow, slow death, in so many words.
