Anyone notice that s-189 is really powdery? It doesn't form a nice dense cake the way my usual lager yeast, 2308, does.
Mine stuck to the bottom of the fermenter and harvest jars like glue. I poured the harvest beer off of mine w/o having anything come up. Looked like Jello.

Wow, very different experience. Maybe I'll have better luck with the next batch.

I look forward to hearing. This will be the closest we've had to a side-by-side comparison, even with the recipe changes.

Right. Originally, I meant to say "the first results from a side-by-side", then my brain started working on something else while I was typing. I certainly look forward to Denny's results, too, since it will probably have a triangle tasting and statistical component, as well!
