No way I would pay that much money.  Other than the conical bottom and large valve i am trying to think of what those can do that my current set up can not.  I can add a carbonation stone if I really wanted to.

I posted this because a FB brewing group I belong to that is mainly for NE style hazy beers had 2 members pre-order these.  I had to chuckle.

I could see myself one day with some sort of integrated brew system like Denny has experimented with... all to make brewday a little easier and if I didn't have to lift 8 gallons of wort around the house... that would be great too. But this particular $500 piece is not for me.

It is actually  a "Secret Group" and you have to be a FB member to see anything.

We can pit the German Brewers Group against the NE Hazy Beer group in a sort of brewers deathmatch. Honestly... I think that another brewing forum/group is the last thing I need.

This group is much more laid back than the German group.  I recently removed them, miss some of the pictures but not the BS.

99% of the guys there are great. Most of them just post as anyone else does (Here's a picture of my OKTOBERFEST!). I have not deleted my account but I don't post anything over there anymore and some of the guys I just Messenger with back and forth because we get along without all the nonsense. There are a few guys over there who want to belittle whatever you say no matter what it is. I posted the pics of the wainscoting I put up in my bar and even that drew some negative comments. Sheesh.
