I think it's supposed to have been a better harvest this year than last. Pre-ordering has begun and I just put in my order. Nothing earth shattering. I like to pick up varieties that are new to me as I want to try them so these are really just established favorites, except for Sterling.  I'm sitting on quite of few pounds of other varieties from the last few years but the below ones are beginning to dwindle. I am always surprised by how well hops store frozen and sealed. I am near the end of my 2013 Mosaic and it is still as vibrant and aromatic as ever. What are you planning to order?

2# Amarillo

2# Cascade

2# Centennial

2# Mosaic

1# Simcoe

1/2# Sterling

I already picked up 2#'s of 2016 galaxy so I think I may just get some Nelson (if I can find them) Mosaic and Amarillo this year.  I need to take a survey and see what I have but I think I still have a decent amount of my popular hops.

i have to get back on the Amarillo train, I have been off it for a while.

Brewery here did a IPA with Citra/Mosaic and a dry hop of Citra/Eldorado and I really liked that so I need to give the Eldorado a try.

Great minds I guess. I just got back on that Amarillo train and my next IPA is Simcoe, Chinook, Eldorado.

do I need to get on this Eldorado train?

Do you think there is any possibility of me recommending against you buying more hops?

well I've limited myself to 3# almost no matter what.  maximizes the lb/$ shipping and I already have a lot of hops.

I'm already fairly settled on getting citra and galaxy.  the third right now is a toss up between mosaic and Eldorado if I like the sound of that.  right now I have about 9 oz of mosaic already.

Get some Bravo.  I've been working with something Stan said about adding a bit of Bravo to other hop combos to make them "pop".  So far it seems to be a worthwhile experiment.

Ooh. Tell us more. This is on my list of things to try. What are you noticing?

that was a hop I heard about when it first came out.  I even had a beer at Portsmouth brewery dry hopped with it.  I think it was a stout.  then I pretty much never heard anything about it again.

Great for bittering too if you don't like the flavor.

No side by side testing, but at Hop School last year he mentioned that using about 10% of your hops as Bravo will help the fruity hops stand out and blend better.  Since I'm not much of a fan of those hops, I tried adding some Bravo to a combo of 5-6 of them.  I ended up liking the beer a lot and have tried it on a couple other batches.
