Just found this one on-line for $33.  Cost just slightly less than the one I put together.  I actually picked this one up for sous vide, but thought I'd pass this along here.

Friend has this one on my recommendation and has had no issues. These sure have got cheap.

True... my first one was @ $90.

I have one of these and an STC 1000. First, I built the 1000. Needing another temp controller I thought I was going to build another one. Not having a lot of time to do it, I went ahead and bought the one in the link. If I need another one I'll buy the $33 one in the link again. It works great.

Well,that answered that question for me.  Time has been at a premium and building one has not been in the schedule.

Funny... I can say the same thing about time... been at a premium and I've yet to sous vide anything other than a few eggs.
