Had to switch to a blow-off tube yesterday. The fermenter is in the kitchen below my office. It was so loud I could hear it chugging away while I was working today.

Need to crash the beer, but about ready to dry hop.  Should I just put the hops in a hop bag, toss it in the keg and fish it out when the keg is done?

Many do that as SOP, I think Denny is one of them.  I personally do not like to do it that way but that is for personal reasons.  You should be find if you do it that way, I would tie the bag off with some  dental floss (non flavored) and have that go to the o-ring under the keg lid.  I would do this so you can take it out and to keep it away from the dip tube.

Was actually planning on doing just that if I kept it in the keg.

This, no problem at all. Unless you like to move the kegs around. In which case I would closed-transfer to another keg once the beer is pouring clear. The more yeast you can get out of the beer before hitting it with dry hops the better the dry hop character IME.

That's what I do, although I tie the bag to the top of the dip tube.

I think I'll crash it in the fermenter, transfer to a keg, crash it again and then use my jumpers to another keg.

a simple butchers knot works fine for me. Use the Glide unscented wax-free floss. It's like a thin flat piece of strong plastic line. Ive never had my lid gasket leak around it.

Yep, that's the know I use.  But I use monofilament.
