I have a kettle I don't really use but I was thinking I could sell it on the cheap to someone I know that wants to start brewing.

Only issue is that there is a little bit of galvanic corrosion (or it at least looks like it) around the handle rivets. The kettle itself is SS. I'm not sure what the rivet is. The rivet has some white corrosion that builds up on it.

Any way to stop this? Is this corrosion going to add anything concerning to the beer if it falls in?

Install an anode in the kettle?

Otherwise probably not. I don't think its a big deal, just scrub it after each batch.

You could coat the rivets with a couple coats of epoxy.  If done right, it would stop the corrosion.  But it would probably make the kettle look even worse.  So, I wouldn't bother.

I wouldn't worry about it. All my cheaper turkey fryer SS pots have that going on. I often soak them in starsan though when I brew so I guess they possibly get passivated a little. Who knows though, I don't let it bother me.
