I built a TMS conical back in the day and have decided to put it back in service. Currently I'm using C clamps to seal the lid. Id like to upgrade to a ring clamp like the Blichman. Anyone know a source for these things?

looks like the 14.75 gallon TMS hopper is 19.93 inches and the 30 gallon drum is 19.25, might work

Mic, I forgot I have a drum ring from a 30g HDPE drum from a old fermenter. Definitely going to see if it works. Thanks for the obvious! I will keep this updated.

The one on the Blichmann looks custom made. You may have to do a custom job to get it to seal right.

Possibly. Not sure. Might be why I'm having trouble finding something similar.

Didnt work. So I will explore the Clampo Wadsworth, Ohio.

I've seen those clamps on other equipment before. I don't know if they make standard sizes or not. It just seems like a custom item to me because you need to specifiy the diameter as well as the lip to be clamped. There's an almost infinite number of combos.

I think they get used on cars - small diameter. And pool equipment - we have on on the sand filter. Small diameter again. The replacement for a Blichmann is $$. I would probably find another way to seal. It doesn't have to be that tight.
