Until recently I hadn't brewed anything darker than 15 SRM in forever and mostly around 5 or less.  It just didn't sound good.

Just put a porter on tap.  Pretty tasty too.

I'm going to carb a Porter tomorrow, too, and I'm rather excited to have a black beer on tap.

I keep 3 kegs in the cooler and make all attempts to keep at least one dark(er) beer on tap. It's hard to warm up to Stouts and Porters in the spirit crushing heat and humidity of SFL but at night for a night cap, me and the Mrs. do enjoy both of those or a dark Belgian of sorts.

I'll drink a stout when it's hot out.  I don't mind.

I have though about that. Still haven't made the brown I was supposedly going to get the chance to make 2 Sundays ago. :stabby:

ETA: I forget what your preferred smoked malt is in that beer?

I just got all the ingredients to do Denny's Imperial Porter base recipe. It's 3 on the list right now.

Had a SN Narwahl last night. Good stuff. Palate still out on the hint of smoke, not sure if that's my bag.

I haven't brewed a porter in a few years.  Might be time.  However I haven't made a doppelbock in like 10 years.  I'll be brewing that very soon.
