and the tacos are in progress

 

14.5 oz can tomatoes - whole/diced 

4 oz can green chiles

1/4  medium onion or whatever sounds right

1 hot pepper (I used a jalapeno from the freezer)

cilantro if you have it

~ 1T tomato paste

 

to taste

 

cumin

lime juice

sugar

salt 

pepper

dry cayenne pepper

dry chipolte pepper (don't overdo it)

 

food processor to desired consistency

One of the great things about salsa is its versatility. So long as you have some semblance of the correct ingredients you can knock it out in little to no time at all. It's always good and it's never the same thing twice.

Yep.  Every time I make an enormo batch of salsa, it's always different and it always comes out great.  I just throw stuff in until it feels right.
