Brewing this tomorrow for St. Patty's Day:

10lb Pils

3lb Munich

1lb roasted barley

2lb flaked barley

0.5 lb cane sugar

2 oz Herkules (13.5% AA, pellets) - 90 min boil

1 oz First Gold (6% AA, pellets) - 15 min boil

US-05 will handle the heavy lifting in the primary.

For 5.5 gallons into the primary, Beersmith 2 tells me this one will weigh in ~1.090, with a predicated ABV of ~9.5%, and 73 IBU's total.

Heating the sparge water now; the smells coming out of the mash tun are in-freakin'-credible.

don't you think the pils will be a bit lost behind all of that roast?  certainly not going to be bad in any way but US 2-row is very cheap!
