I hope to at least double my brewing from last year.  Last year I did 5 gallons.  I'm halfway there!

Brewing a Kolsch

9lbs German Pilsner

 1oz Tradition at 60 min

1oz Hersbrucker at 30 min

My had some trouble with the sparge.  My first "clog."  I guess it had to happen eventually.  That really killed my process.  It took at least 25 minutes to get it started.  At first I tried just adding a half gallon more water.  Then i stirred.  Finally I blew some air into the drain tube, then sucked air out.  I should have did that first because that cleaned it out.

Preboil my readings were 1.036

Post boil boil my readings were right at 1.043.   The recipe states OG should be about 1.048.  Not sure how I lost the .005, but i'm guessing it won't really matter in the long run.

No matter how much you brew this year, it's more than last year!
