Thought some may be interested in this.

News Flash:
Wyeast 3726 Farmhouse Ale comes out March 1st, 2017

On March 1st, our popular 3726 Farmhouse Ale Private Collection strain will become part of our year-round lineup and be more readily available to all homebrew shops & home enthusiasts! This is the first strain that Wyeast will be adding to the Classic Wyeast Culture Collection(C-WCC) this year. This strain has been in high demand and we decided it was finally time for the change.

We also have more news about longtime friends (yeast strains!). As brewing trends change, so must our lineup of products. We will be phasing out some of our less popular strains and making them available through our Private Collection. This will give us an opportunity to make room for more new releases.

Phase out March 1st :
• 2000 Budvar Lager
• 2001 Pilsner Urquel H-Strain
• 2035 American Lager
• 3333 German Wheat

Phase out March 13th:
• 3942 Belgian Wheat
• 2042 Danish Lager

Phase out March 20th:
• 3463 Forbidden Fruit

Thank you for your continued support and understanding,

The Wyeast Team

Forbidden Fruit is the only one on there I was looking forward to using at some point. I couldn't be happier about 3726 becoming year round. It's a great yeast IMO.

I do not think I have used any of the ones listed... I am interested in 3726 though.

2035 is a unique strain and I've used it but not very often. 2000 and 2001 are interesting because there are just so many Czech strains out there. 2124 and 2278 would probably satisfy the majority of people although I could see 2782 Staro coming back full time because it was great. Also, the Budvar yeast is available through White Labs as 802. Someone mentioned that 2042 was a really nice yeast as well (is this Heineken's yeast?) although I don't think I've ever used it.

Yep, and some interesting stuff coming on.  Can't say a lot more than that.

Well, I can tell you that Drew and I have now chosen all the PC strains for the year.  There was a disappointing lack of bribes from homebrewers, so we had to just choose on our own.  ;)

Id like to see 4 PC strains per quarter. 1 lager, 1 Belgian, 1 English, 1 wild card (American, Brett, unusual ale strains or another lager). I think I would like that better than what they did this quarter where they piled up all the English stuff in one release.

If you're looking for saison yeasts, Drew reviews several from the Yeast Bay here....httpss://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UX1yqNdyfjg

Any chance 2782 will return either as a year-rounder or a seasonal? It's been awhile but I also admit that I don't carefully watch the seasonals so I may have missed it.

Thanks, I was looking at the Yeast Bay today wondering what the differences are. Ordering one vial to my coast makes no sense so I may as well add a few.
