Anyone brewing this weekend?  I am thinking of testing out the small system with a little Cascade APA.

4.25g

8# - Two Row

1/4# - C-60

Cascade at 15/5/fermenter and Dry Hop

This will be an in-between boil, 15 minutes.

I am just curious, has your Rye IPA recipe evolved any or is the one that is posted still the one that you brew?

SNPA was my inspiration. I just have to come up with a water profile and I will be good to go.

On Sunday I am making a long awaited Belgian Tripel with Mangrove Jack's M-31. Last week I re-hydrated one packet into a 2L starter, saved some and will use all of it. I've never used it before and am looking forward to the results.

My brewery is completely shut down... nothing is in production. But I did have to get into one of my draft fridges yesterday and both kegs in there are precariously light so my guess is that things will get moving in a hurry at some point. I will probably end up moving some beer in secondaries into kegs over the weekend. Enjoy your brewdays beerheads.

Prepped to brew a spring/summer beer a few hours ago.  Cranked the mill down as low as it could go for 5# of rice.

Why screw with perfection?  ;)  Hasn't changed in 15 years or so.  I went through enough iterations developing it that I can't find anything I'd want to change.

Cool, I was only wondering that is all :). Most curious about if the dh was the same or had increases like newer recipes.

I sometimes bump it up to 2 oz. from one, but it kinda depends on what I feel like at the time.

Rice hulls can be your friend, or batch sparging.  Last weekend was masa para tamal and poblano peppers.

Definitely. I no sparge, so I can get away without the rice hulls. The masa settles on top after a good stir and settle.

Got 12 students coming over tomorrow to see the brewing process. Still not sure what to brew. I've got a good slurry of US-05 and a ton of mosaic and citra.

Perhaps a clone of Deschute's Fresh-Squeezed IPA?  I recall it featured Mosaic and Citra.  Nice IPA.
