Jester King pulls WW beers.

"
Because of this core principle, it pains us to say that we won’t be carrying Wicked Weed anymore at Jester King. We think Wicked Weed beer is some of the best in the world. Their talent, techniques, and patience produces some of the most beautiful beer we’ve ever tasted. That, combined with their great friendship, is what makes this decision so tough for us. But like we said, our core values must be paramount at the end of the day.
We wish Wicked Weed the best, will deeply miss having their beer at Jester King and working with them on collaborations, and expect them to continue to make fantastic beer. Like we mentioned, they’ll always have our friendship and we look forward to the next time we can share a beer together."

I always liked their beers and going down to the brewery (not the Funkatorium, but I don't dig sours, but cool place) restaurant is good. I don't really go out of my way to buy it though. Good for them I guess. They did great marketing and great beers.

I loooooved Sucks when it first came out and was a seasonal man that was a great beer. Then it went year round and the amount of hops seemed to drop off. I have not bought a Lagunitas beer in several years now.

I always feel like their beers are underattenuated or something. just not something I enjoy drinking for long. not sure I ever had sucks when it was seasonal.

Oh I think they were. I remember doing a hydro sample and some were at 1.018 for hop forward beers .. a bit too high for me.

Dammit, there was an article from a brewer that worked for a brewery that was bought by ABInbev in relation to the wicked weed sale and I can't find it. Anyone else saw it?

Found it.
As someone who aspires to eventually be an entrepreneur, I wonder what I would do. My hope would be that I could afford to decline an offer for a buy out so that I could have a legacy for my family to build on, but the reality is that the odds are not good that businesses will survive a second generation. Other than that possibility, I would probably take the money.

I like the idea of a festival I could walk to.
