MJ yeast is a terrible floccer. My last Czech pils is still cloudy after being gelled twice and sitting at lager temps for ~ 3 weeks due to me rushing it to keg so I could free up my ferm chamber.
I like the results I get from it but the slow floccing is getting tiresome. My current batch will sit at 32F for 2 weeks before going to keg in hopes of a clear beer after 2-3 weeks lagering.

Well, after gelling this beer a couple weeks ago, I legged it today, still cloudy as fug... Tastes pretty good but I'm disappointed in M31 big time.
"Shelter me from the powder and the finger."
Mine finally cleared after a couple more weeks cold. Gel would not clear it. MJ just takes time and temp.
I let the other one sit at 32F for ~ 10 days, kegged it and it's clear. Brewed 3 weeks ago.

Do all MJ's take huge time to clear? I have a packet of M41 Belgian Ale, can I expect the same cloudy mess?

I know the M84 lager yeast does for me. Looks like it may be a problem inherent in their yeast

Perhaps, and not a strong point for me. I'll make a Wit with the M41.
