I think I have enough yeast at the house for a long time.  I could not pass up discount yeast though. I think all of these were under $4 bucks each.

Bayern Lager

Bit o' Funk

Bring on Da Funk

American Farmhouse (2)

Belgian Ale.

Looking forward to that American Farmhouse.  I plan to use the funk ones all in one beer.  I have 3 strains of them I plan to add to one batch of wort and just see what happens.

I do the same thing. I'm a yeast whore. I mentioned in another thread that I just took a yeast inventory and have some old yeast that I probably should not use. I have access to yeast locally now which suggests that I should stop hoarding it and just buy it when I envision that I'll use it in a short time. You got A LOT of funk in that collection Drez!

I really do!  I have to get some Sour/Farmhouse/Brett beers going.  I need to get a another batch done first (Czech lager) and then get a few funky ones going to let the bugs get busy during the summer months.

Please, do me a solid and use up all of the funky yeast strains (so I can't find any) and drink all of the funky beer that you make (so I'm not involved in drinking any of it!)..... :D

drez might be able to turn you onto it.  we'll loosen you up with a few MLPAs first.

I think I could take a Berliner Weiss without issue and possibly some other sours but anything Brett or Belgian generally makes me vomit. It's time for me to gracefully come to terms with that.

do you have this response with some foods too?  while I don't like some types of funky beers I don't dislike them THAT much.  I mean how could I?  they are still beer :D

I'm not a picky eater. There are many unusual things that I like and very few things that I would not eat. I like to try things and I have tried MANY sours, brett and Belgian beers and my response is always similar. I hear what you're saying about how could you not like it but the beer world is complex and diverse and the flavors that you get from these beers are very, very different from the beers I snuggle up to with the most enthusiasm... German, Czech, British, American.

All Brett?  It is not all Horse blanket and funk

Some of it is very subtle and even fruity.
