Not sure why it took me so long to think of this but I thew this together a couple of weeks ago and it makes cleaning hoses, the RIMS and CFC so easy.  I just hook it up to a hose and back flush everything at once.

Excellent idea. I do something similar for backflushing my plate. Never thought of using it to clean my RIMS. I will be doing that now too.

It was one of those things where I look down and the parts were there and the light went off.

I've had that epiphany as well a few times. It's like "duhhh, why didn't I think about that before?"

Will you be just using this to rinse? Do you not recirc some hot cleaner through everything first? Just curious, I'm wondering if my cleaning process is a little overkill.

My brew area sink has a garden hose QD on it instead of an aerator. Splashes a bit but I don't care.  Nice to hook up a hose and sprayer easily.  I also have a brewday hose that connects with the sink GH QD but has the smaller McMaster fitting on the other end so I can switch for cleaning and rinsing at the end of the brew day. All my brew day hoses have the brass McMaster DCs.  I go back and forth during the brew day to rinse, sanitize, rinse clean repeat......

RIMS and CFC only have stuff flowing through them never sitting so I will hose them out, now with the new attachment, and then pump starsan through them.  Once a season I do a fill deep clean of everything with PDW then a double strength hot sani-clean circulation.  It seems to work for me.

After kegging yesterday I was looking for a quick way to clean my transfer hose and cane.  Rigged this up and it worked slick

Put one of these in the QD and it will act like an aerator.

Yea, I've got a bunch of different adapters that let me use the hose water to rinse, and then also connect a hose to drain, etc.

The other adapter that I like is one that goes to my oilless air compressor. It helps me dry out my hoses and dual stage counterflow, both inside the copper, and inside the hose.
