Anyone try this yet?  I am curious about it.

"Unique dextrine-style malt that not only adds body, foam retention, and beer stability but also color and flavor."  Color is 30L

Haven't seen it before but I did put a recipe together over the weekend for what I'm calling a "copper lager". I know this is a term being used by numerous breweries and my approach to it is to use base malt with about an ounce of Carafa Special III. The beer should have a slightly different color than it would if you used a crystal malt.

Drez, if you try it, please report back.

I need to stop trying new things and go back to basics for a brew or two.  My last two batches, while drinkable and fine are just not up to my standards.  I am going back to Chinook/Citra this week with on change, no caravienne and instead carafoam.  Using 1450 and a normal water treatment.

I hear you.  I find myself drinking lots of pils which is about as classic as you can get :P

Left is 10% and right is 30% the rest is base.  I am going to pick up a couple of pounds and see.

They do.  I think 5% and maybe some regular carapils may be perfect for an IPA.

That looks like more color than you would get from something that's 30L. But I agree it looks great.

I'm curious how roasty it is.  might make a really nice fall pale ale/amber.
