And on the dehydrator, programmed to dehydrate at 110°F for the next 2 hours.

 

Collected a half-gallon container's worth that was heaping full; didn't take more than a couple of minutes for the lupulin to start making hands and fingers sticky.

 

They look and smell good, and i have easily double what I collected today still on the plant (not ready to pick yet).

110 is good.  Most homebrewers dry them at too low heat for too long.  I like 125-130, but only because I know that's what hop farmers use.

I'll see where they are in about another 90 minutes, but i figure i can run the thing some more if the hops aren't dried out enough.

 

I'm very curious to see how they work in an actual batch soon, as i'm hoping to capture more of the flavor/aroma since I can better control the time and temp.
