The inlaws are moving and purging and my FIL parted with this Leinie sign which now hangs in my bar...

It's bright. Like maybe too bright. Cool though.

Naw, I'd say it's good.  Hard to turn down free swag.

My wife was over there today and she was like "Do you want a sledgehammer?". No. "Do you want a table saw?" No. "Do you want cans of spray paint?" No. "Do you want this Leinie sign?" (with picture). Absolutely. :D

Priorities in the right place, I'd say.

Damn nice bar!

Look for some of the threads where Ken posted pics of his basement beer bar.  They're drool-tastic.

Or, maybe, Brother Ken could indulge and post some here.  Maybe.

Thanks gang. I started work on that in about 2000 and it's been painted and adjusted, there used to be a single tower on a 4.4cf fridge, then a double tower, then the taps were moved to the wall, etc. When I first moved into the house this section of the basement was the previous owner's workshop. I took out the door and turned the room into two rooms... the bar and the beer bunker behind it. Originally the beer bunker was a storage place for brew equipment and tools (and it still is) and I didn't realize how nice it would be to have access to the area behind that wall. So eventually I put two 4.4cf fridges on the other side of that wall (2 kegs in each with one CO2 tank) and put the faucets through the wall which took me from 2 faucets to 4. I feel like it gets a tweak a couple times a year. Cheers Beerheads.

I can attest, Ken's bar is pretty sweet. totally jealous.

I think I came by right after you got the taps through the walls.

I need to do that again JayB. I have not seen Jay, Mark, Mike, Jim and the rest of the local crew in too long.

I'd love to have a bar like that.  Of course, I'd have to have a new house to put it in.

You and me both.

I'm planning our next/forever house, and I'm not afraid to say that Ken's basement bar provides some of the inspiration.

I should mention that the bar is just a piece of the basement and maybe a 12x12 area (including the beer bunker) and the basement is about the size of the entire house. When the kids were younger the bar was a little more discreet and most of the basement was toys & games, etc. But as the kids got older (now 21, 19, 17) one half of the basement is pretty much mine... pool table, sofa, 65" TV (which I honestly don't watch much), dart board, the bar, etc. Here are some older shots from my site.
