I'm in. Personally I've been wanting to make a braggot since it's something I have never done and tasted very few commercial examples of. I've also got a relatively inexpensive supply of Orange blossom honey right now that has me tempted to do something with. Lots of good options!

I'm in too. I've got a ton of honey left from last fall's harvest that I intended to use over the winter and never got around to it.

Schramm's "Don't cry for me spargentina" has got me curious. That could be some fun.

A braggot sounds good. Never made one. We were planning a peach mel back at the other place but that'll have to wait until summer. Looks like it's going to be an all moderator group brew.

Still interested in the ginger/peach melomel later in the summer if the idea is still live.

I'd be in depending on the recipe. I have +/- 19lbs of dark local honey and +/- 45 lbs of lighter stuff. The dark stuff has an amazing flavor. I can't describe it really. Every time I taste it I get something different. The lighter stuff is very subtle and floral. Sort of cloverish.

I'd really love to do a group brew, and I've had my eye on that one as well ... I've been contemplating a braggot for a few months, but with everything that's been going on in my personal life as of late don't know if I could make it as a group brew. Don't think I'll be doing much until things calm down a bit, but if you all do a braggot I would follow the thread closely and learn from your collective knowledge.

I'd like to try this out. I lost the cyser I was working on when the o-ring slipped out of the bung and leaked all over my kitchen floor while I was asleep back in November. :rolf:

I've always thought HT's blueberry braggot sounded delicious.

That sounds really good.

If it can wait until after the first week in May (when I'll get my next delivery of OB honey), then I'm up for it. I've done braggots before, but a blueberry braggot sounds intriguing!

I this recipe is selected, please let me know as I've refined it. One change is that I no longer use the black cardamom seeds - they are just too strong and impart a flavor not enjoyed by most people (often thought of as medicinal).

Sounds like there's a lot of interest in HighTest's recipe and it sounds good to me, too. Is there a way to add a poll this thread?

200 A.D. or B.C.? I'll give it a shot with local honey.
